J. Joseph Morrison was born in August 1882 to James Morrison, an Irish immigrant, and Susan Ella Morrison in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Morrison had black hair and blue eyes, stood 5'7", and was reported to have been missing some of his upper teeth. He was a Protestant. Mr. Morrison resided in Medford where he worked as a machinist until his incarceration at the Massachusetts Reformatory on November 2, 1899.
Mr. Morrison died of malaria while at the Reformatory at 8:00 A.M. on December 5, 1899, at 17.
