Henry Connell was born in 1850 in Ireland to Patrick Connell and an unknown mother. After moving to the United States, he worked as a barber until his incarceration in the Massachusetts State Prison in 1895.
He remained in the prison for two years and three months before his death on October 6, 1897, from pulmonary tuberculosis at 47.
