Francis Clement Madden was born on December 18, 1919 in Door, Wisconsin to Frank J. Madden, a shipyard laborer, and Theresa Marik, a laundress. He had six sisters and two brothers. The Madden family lived at 664 North Court Street in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, in a home valued at $2,000 with a radio set.
Mr. Madden entered the East Cambridge Jail in Cambridge, Massachusetts after 1939. He died there on August 20, 1940, at 20.
