Plot 110: James Brown

James Brown, a Black man, was born on December 16, 1878, in Phoenix, Arizona to John F. Brown and Mary Brown. His parents later moved to Richmond, Virginia and Mr. Brown settled in Boston, Massachusetts. Before his incarceration, he worked as a cook.

Mr. Brown was incarcerated at the Massachusetts Reformatory. He died of tuberculosis on June 17, 1904, at 25.
