Henry V. Tyler was born in 1881 in Lynn, Massachusetts. Mr. Tyler remained a Lynn resident through adulthood and worked in town as a meat cook.
On October 7, 1908, Mr. Tyler was incarcerated in the Massachusetts State Prison, but he later relocated to Rutland Prison Camp and Hospital for tuberculosis treatment. He remained there until his death on January 8, 1910, due to pulmonary tuberculosis, at 29.
