Alden B. Wheeler was born on February 12, 1870, to Marcus and Wealthy Wheeler in Norton, Massachusetts. He was the eldest of the household’s three sons. By age 10, Mr. Wheeler and his family were living in Bristol County, Massachusetts, where his father worked bottoming shoes and he attended school. He later worked as a laborer.
He was incarcerated in the Massachusetts Reformatory on September 18, 1886, and died there of consumption on September 7, 1890, at 20.
