George Thompson was born in 1840 to unknown parents in England. After moving to the United States, Mr. Thompson worked as a cabinet-maker and later as a shoemaker until his incarceration in the Massachusetts State Prison in 1885.
He died there on December 13, 1893, from heart disease, at 53.
