Plot 177: Manoog Berberian

Manoog Hagop Berberian was born on January 10, 1873, in Yozgat, in the Ottoman Empire, present-day Türkiye. He had black hair, hazel eyes, and was short in stature. Mr. Berberian immigrated to the United States in 1899 and was reportedly married at the time. In Chelsea, Massachusetts, he resided at 91 Fifth Street and worked as a machine operator in a shoe shop. Mr. Berberian became a naturalized U.S. citizen on May 28, 1906, and was issued a U.S. passport on June 5, 1906. He had a son named Edward.

Mr. Berberian was incarcerated in the Massachusetts State Prison on November 8, 1917. He died there on December 19, 1926, due to sudden acute dilation of the heart, at 53.
