Costas S. Economou was born in 1896 in Greece to Speros and Helen Economou. He had dark chestnut hair and blue eyes and stood just over 5'5". He also had tattoos on his left forearm. Mr. Economou immigrated to the United States in 1910 and settled in Lowell, Massachusetts, where he worked as a barber.
Mr. Economou was incarcerated in the Massachusetts State Prison in November 1913 and was later committed to the Massachusetts Reformatory on March 11, 1915. He took his own life there on April 5, 1916, and was buried on April 16, 1916. He was 20.
