Plot 124: Hilary H. Grose

Hilary H. Grose was Black man born in March 1892. By eight, he was living as a lodger at 12 Rockwell Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his older brother, Richard L. Grose.

Mr. Grose contracted tuberculosis in March 1910, and officials sent him to the Rutland Prison Camp and Hospital. He died of the disease on Thursday, April 7, 1910 while incarcerated in Rutland, at 18.
