Joseph LaPierre was born in 1861 in Canada. Upon moving to the United States, he worked as a shoemaker until his arrest in 1882.
Mr. LaPierre was incarcerated in the Massachusetts State Prison for seven months until his death at 21 on December 16, 1882, due to a bladder disease.
