Carl Roosnel was born in 1830 in Finland. After moving to the United States, he worked at a factory until his incarceration in the Massachusetts State Prison on February 2, 1887.
He remained there for 3 years and 2 months until his death on April 5, 1890, from scrofula and fatty degeneration of the heart at 60.
