John 'Jack' Brown was born on April 12, 1894, in Sydney, Australia. He later immigrated to the United States and became a naturalized citizen. Mr. Brown served in the United States Army as a private for 2½ years. After his service, he worked as a shoemaker.
Mr. Brown was incarcerated in the Massachusetts State Prison on June 24, 1916. He died of influenza and pneumonia at 6:30 p.m. on October 7, 1918, during the 1918 influenza pandemic. He was 24.
