John Henry was born on October 15, 1879, in Brazil. He was tall, with black hair and brown eyes. Mr. Henry later immigrated to the United States and married a woman named Rosa. The couple lived on Stanley Avenue in Taunton, Massachusetts, where Mr. Henry worked as a mason laborer.
He was incarcerated at the Massachusetts State Prison on three separate occasions: September 14, 1903, June 11, 1914, and November 18, 1924. He passed away from pneumonia at 2:10 p.m. on January 30, 1926, at the age of 46.
