Thomas A. Clark Jr. was born in 1860 in Calais, Maine, to Thomas A. Clark Sr., an English immigrant, and Ann Winn, an Irish immigrant. He had two sisters. Thomas married Jessie May Anderson on January 23, 1897, in Brockton, MA, and they had one daughter together. Thomas and Jessie eventually divorced, and Thomas remarried on July 13, 1900, to Laura Melissa Anderson. Thomas and Laura lived together in Old Town, Maine, and had one daughter. He worked as a harness maker. By 1910, he was incarcerated at the Massachusetts State Prison in Boston, MA. Thomas died on August 31, 1912, at approximately 51-52, while in Boston, MA. He succumbed to complications of leukemia and multiple cerebral hemorrhages.
