Know all men by these presents that Mr. Elisha Parks and Thomas Lord both of the City of Boston in the County of Suffolk and Commonwealth of Massachusetts Commission Merchants in consideration of Twelve Thousand One Hundred and Forty Dollars to us in hand paid by James Derby of Exeter in the County of Rockingham and State of New Hampshire Machinist this receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged as grant, bargain, sell, assign release and convey unto the said James all our right, tithe, interest, claim and demand in and to the following described Real estate viz a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the southwesterly part of Concord in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts aforesaid and bounded as follows to west, southerly on the north river, northeasterly on a ford way and northerly on a traveled way leading to and by the factory to the flood gate there running westerly on the mill pond so as to include two small islands in the mill pond and also including the land formerly covered by an old fulling mill near said factory and extending to the bound first mentioned containing by estimation two acres be the same more or less or however otherwise bounded with the Cotton Factory, Grist Mill, Blacksmiths shop, Barn and all the other buildings thereon the stream of water which turns and carries the wheels and machinery...
