Letter from Daniel Chester French to Samual Hoar, 1/2

Title

Letter from Daniel Chester French to Samual Hoar, 1/2

Subject

Samual Hoar

Description

Transcription: May 24, 1899 Dear Sam I am very sorry that I have not been able to begin the bust of Sherman yet. This has been the busiest season that I have ever known and I have had to leave many things undone that I ought to have done. It is my intention to begin it as soon as I get settled down for the summer at Stockbridge and, as we move [?] next Saturday, that will [?] very soon. When the bust is ready for you to see we shall hope to have you and Mrs. Hoar come to see it—and see incidentally.
